Just curious...why not just use an aluminium exhaust ? Its similar to Stainless Steel in terms of cost, and is about 65% of the weight. I don't know what the draqwbacks are but the price difference would sway me towards it.

Aluminum doesn't stand up to intense heat very well, not to mentiion that it is a very soft metal, thus making it less durable.
