A lot Of Engine Codes please help guys
ok so i have a 99 solara sle v6 it went from only cylinder 4 and 5 misfire... to changing only cylinder 4 spark plug (used ngk iradium) now when i took it to autozone. its pulling codes... now also i already put fuel injection cleaner in.. but at the same time my fiance did also. so 2 bottles of gumout fuel injection cleaner within an hour.. maybe that could mess it up?
p1133 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) insufficient switching bank 1 sensor 1(Rear Bank)
p0305 - means that the the car's computer has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #5
p0304 - means that the the car's computer has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #4
po300 - Basically this means that the the car's computer has detected that not all of the engine's cylinders are firing properly
po171 - Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1.
Note: This DTC is very similar to P0174, and in fact your vehicle may show both codes at the same time.
SymptomsYou will more than likely not notice any drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a lack of power, detonation (spark knock), and/or a hesitation/surge on acceleration.
A code P0171 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
•The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters may cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
•There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor.
Possible SolutionsPossible solutions include:
•In the vast majority of cases, simply cleaning the MAF sensor does the trick. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
•Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
•Check for a dirty fuel filter and proper fuel pressure
i know most of you know the codes and solutions. i just posted it for future references for anyone doing a search...
but fellas please. i only had this car 2 months and i have no money for a automechanic unless its like under the table..
i was told change my fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel regulator???
im just wondering why after i changed one spark plug i got more codes up.. any answers will help guys i really appreciate it..
im hoping i dont need to dump too much money in this car cuz i really dont have it
