NEED HELP: Vacuum Hoses Configuration

NEED HELP: Vacuum Hoses Configuration

Postby Eye8Pussies » Sun May 23, 2010 5:47 pm

I just recently removed the supercharger off my sister's solara and I'm having some problems with egr codes due to the way I set up the vacuum hoses now. I matched them as best I could to the diagram under the hood, but some things didn't line up perfectly.

Can somebody please help me out real quick and snap a picture of their vacuum hoses under their hood? Specifically where the hose to the egr comes from, and also one from the acid as well would be nice as well.

Much appreciated to anybody who can help me out!

^ cool, thanks for the link, but it's not exactly what I need. I don't have the stumbling problem that damon was having at all (which, I presume may have been from an egr open at low idle or throttle, because I had the same thing and then fixed it).

anybody else? just a quick pick of the vacuum line that goes to the egr and where it came from on the fuel rail?

hey, thanks for the link, even though you linked me to the 5sfe manual :p

but thanks for the reminder- I'll go through my shop manuals and hopefully find a better diagram than the one that's under the hood of the car

^ actually, when I took a closer look, the file helped- it has both the 5sfe and the 1mz diagrams together, just the 5sfe ones come first lol

and I'm bumping this up, because I took a very quick try in rearranging the hoses and no luck still, so if anybody can provide a couple of quick picture of how their vacuum hoses are run....it'd be much appreciated....

yeah I forgot to mention to scroll down...lol.....Hey man sorry I don't have a camera to take a pic, but if I did I would. Depending on how approachable you are, I one time asked another solara owner dude in a shopping center If I could take a look at his hose set up under his hood. He obviously saw that I had a Solara and was happy to lift his hood for me for a second. Hopefully someone will be able to snap a picture for you.

peace

Now that's an interesting idea- not too many solaras around but plenty of camrys.

But regardless, problem solved- I finally took about 10 minutes to take a good look at the vacuum diagram sticker under the hood, followed it and no codes for a week.
