hey guys, does anyone know if the little tab that holds the drivers carpet down is replaceable? I don't have one. If it is, is it going to require me ripping everything apart?

thanks!

You're going to have to buy the plastic clips at Toyota, they come in pairs. Now if you need the metal rim on the main carpet that holds the plastic clip, good luck. I dont know if thats replaceable but I can imagine it is, just would be a b1tch to find someone who would do it. Good luck.

go for the clip. it solves the problem INSTANTLY.

an 'aftermarket' foot mat may have the same problem of scooting forward over time.

i had the same problem, and reggie (NVDIS1) posted this tidbit of info.

NVDIS1 wrote:they are the same (gen1 and 2).I have some extras I can send ya..just pay for shipping :D You can get these at the dealer part# 00208-00801 we sell them for $4.04 and it comes with two clips. If interested pm me.

quick and easy install, and solves the problem 100% (i haven't thought about my mat ever since i got the clip installed)

call your local dealer, and it should be easy.

plus the clip is probably going ot be cheaper than a new set of mats....especially if your current mat is still in good condition.
