Clutch pilot bearing?!

Clutch pilot bearing?!

Postby mazen222 » Wed May 13, 2009 3:37 pm

I had my clutch replaced last week...

i had bought the exedy kit from ebay... it came with a disc, the plate, release bearing and a pilot bearing.

My mechanic was not able to find a place tu put that pilot beaing anywhere... he told me the oem clutch didnt even have one, and the one with the kit inner diameter was too small to be fitted correctly... so he went and installed without the pilot bearing..

i have my car for a week now and everything is good... did any of you have a similar issue or is it just me? or will i be facing some issues soon?

thats the kit i got for the v6 solara

Why would the mr2 need a pilot bearing if its still mounted transversely??
