Started the car today and both these lights came on at the same time - haven't had time to check the actual code yet... any ideas of what it could be? Strange that they both came on together, no? thx.

sorry, I meant to imply if the two (CEL & Traction Control) lights coming on together at the same time would have indicated something right away that I wasn't aware of - I'll pull the code this weekend, and repost.

CEL and Trac, when lit together, indicate a redundant fault.

it could be for the same code (single code), or for multiple codes.

i've had both of mine lit for a while...when i pull the neg terminal off the battery, it'll reset (no lights on either), then after about 70 miles, the CEL will come back on.....if i try to light up the tires after the CEL is on, the Trac system will try to activate, but will ultimately disable itself (thus illuminating both CEL and Trac)

get the code pulled, it could be something serious, or it could be something minor....we'll never know until you get the code.
