CEL again

Postby solara90 » Thu Mar 26, 2009 3:15 pm

well i had my cel go on back in February and it was P0420 catalyst below efficiency.. and it went off about a week ago

and today it popped on again so i went to the local parts store and got it checked out and it was P0171 System too Lean (Bank 1).

i haven't done anything to try and fix either of these codes ive searched around but my conclusion has come to and 02 sensor or the MAF... any other opinions

i don't seem to have anything wrong with performance either, just seems a little bit laggy on acceleration sometimes

Have your O2 sensors checked out. If you replace your cat things will be great but if you have a faulty O2 sensor throwing incorrect information to your system...Your new cat is going to die out quicker than normal.
