HELP- HISSING SOUND

I hear hissing sound after i turn off my car like an air leak but i have checked all my vacuum lines and no leaks any ideas?

^^ Devon I think thats sound is coming from your intake.

it makes that noise for about 30 sec after i turn off the car.also I noticed that now when i turn off my car with my foot on the brake the peddle pushes my foot up its wierd. any ideas

its most likely your power brake booster emptying out after you turned off the engine, which would push your foot up because you are loosing the vacuum that powers the booster

Sounds like a brak ebooster problem. If its emptying out its vacuam after you turn it off, thats not good. My car still has a little bit of vacum pressure in the brake booster even a day after i turn it off.

Yep, check the brake booster for leaks.

I ordered a new brake booster it cost me 271.00 I will be instaling it on wed thanks for all the help.

yes i have done alot of trouble shooting and in the repair manual that i just got it says -hold down the brake and turn off the car if the pedal does not move then the booster is fine.but my pedal pushes up quikley when I turn off the car,also i noticed a new symptom today.when the car was running i got down on my knees and pushed and held the brake with my hand and i could hear the hissing sound from behind the fire wall.so i did a google search with what i knew and it all pointed to the brake booster

mine got to the point where the check engin light would come on and tell me it was running to lean because of the vacuum leak
