Hey all, The seats in my solara have seen better days. There is a 3 inch rip in the ass of my driver seat, as well as a lot of cracking. Theres also a nice gash in the bolster by the door. The passenger seat is sad looking as well. So I'm going to head over to a junkyard and see if there are any nice looking seats there, last time I was there I saw several Corollas and Civics with decent tan seats. My only question is how is the power seat system hooked into the seat, and how is the airbag sensor thing connected to the seat? I can live without the power seats, never been a big deal to me. The airbag sensor is another story. I'd like that so the idiot lights won't be blinking. Any input would be appreciated. My plan for now is to get the seats, pull the stock brackets and fabricate some kind of bracket (if needed) to attach my seat bracket to the new seat. Any thing I should look out for from anyone that has messed with the seats in these cars.

Oh and also, I'd like to get some new backseats at some point too, obviously I'll have to get these out of some other Toyota because backseats are very specific. So...do the backseats in the Gen 4/4.5 Camry's fit into the Solara? Or do I need to find tan CLOTH seats out of a Solara?

The wire to the seat on my car is completely disconnected from anything and there's no light on the dash (seat belt or otherwise).

And if you want power seats, you're not getting it from seats from a Corolla or a Civic

^ Well I meant I would modify the new seats to fit the little control module for the power seats, but like I said earlier I'm not too worried about power seats.
