Postby vietstylez » Sun Oct 12, 2008 1:43 pm

Hey guys...so I tried starting up my car and it makes a really loud winding noise for about a minute so then i turn my car off, but its still making this noise. I pop my hood and notice that it could be the starter making the noise still...so i try to start it again...then it starts to smoke a little bit from where the starter is then i turn the car off and it stops the noise and smoke...i try to turn on just the battery and no my car won't even turn on and i can't even use my power locks to lock my doors...can anybody please tell me whats wrong with my car...i just got it back from the paint shop last week to make it all nice again and now this happens...any feedback would be good so i know what to look at and get fixed...thanks in advance

Don't know what to say man, but if the car was fine prior to the paint shop stint, best to hit them up for any possible damages that could have occurred due to them/negligence on thier part.

Replace the starter, sounds like the pinion hung up in the engaged position.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.
