Hello Everyone!
My 1999 sle v6 has made my life miserable at this point. problem after another. 2 days ago my car got a tune-up(fuel filter, air filter,6 plugs, wires) as mentined in many knowledgeful posts, also cleaned throttle body and got valve cover gaskets replaced by a local mechanic. At that point, car had low mpg (around 10 in city) and smoked on start ups. Now those problems are gone as i dorve for ~150 miles and car responded well mpg wise. last evening while driving car acted like slipping while brakes are pressed, speeding up and have to keep the brakes pressed really hard to have the car stationary. When put to park, car rpm goes jumping between 1800-2300 rpm. since then everytime car is cold it will start with 3000 rpm. I don't know what to do?? i checked some posts for hight/rough idle to clean IAC valve? is it one tht also called butterfly valve? or an electrical valve thats connected to ECM? i am not very good with cars' mecanics. if let go of break car accelerates up to 50mph without gas pedal being touched....waiting for your response. please let me know specifically what exactly to clean if there is anything like that if picture is possible it would really help.

FIX!!!
I WANTED TO SHARE IT WITH YOU GUYS THAT THE PROBLEM OF HIGH/ROUGH IDLE AND RMP JUMPING BETWEEN 1800-2300 WAS DUE TO AN "IAC VALVE",THOUGH IT WAS REPLACED COUPLE MONTHS AGO BUT SINCE WE HAD CLEANED THROTTLE BODY PROBLEM DEVELOPED, MY RECCOMMENDATION IS THAT WHEN CLEAN THROTTLE BODY ALSO CLEAN THIS VALVE. I CLEANED IT WITH MAF CLEANER AND CARB CLEANER ONE AFTER ANOTHER (DONT ASK WHY?) I WAS FRUSTRATED.
IT WORKS SO FAR, VERY SMOOTH

Since this car is not a drive-by-wire like Gen2s, couldn't the throttle linkage be sticking, or the Throttle Position Sensor (if Gen1-1.5 have one) gone bad? No codes nor CELs?
