Postby AdemAyoub » Sat Nov 10, 2007 11:36 am

Hi im new in this forum, I changed my deck in my 01 solara for a better sound system and my guage lights ended up not working now i cant see how fast im going in the dark. After a month or so they ended up working again for like 2 days then they stopped. Any suggestion on what i should do or which wire it is that isnt connected well.??
O ya.. i noticed a few dings and scratches on the exterior so i decided i wanted to paint my car macco is willing to do it (Orange with 3 clear coats) for 1500 dollars should i trust them?

For the gauges lights, they are on the same fuse then the radio light. So open the plastic casing under the streering to have acces of the fuse box. The right fuse is a 7.5 Amps so remove one by one "7.5" fuse to get the right one.

no, but u need to put the right amperage fuse or it will not protect you if you get a shortcut!

Try the others 7,5A, for me it was the problem, if not, then you will need to see if your gaguges lights are burned..

Dude never take your car to Macco. They do horrible paint jobs. They dont prep the car properly and have lots of runs in the paint. Nor do they properly tape off the car meaning they paint over gaskets. They just do everything crappy. The reason they do paint jobs so cheap because they dont take the time to do the car right. Spend the extra cash and a legit body shop and have them take care of it.

if you get to know someone at macco and do pretty much all the prep work yourself it might be okay

I had a buddy in FL who did all the work himself and knew the guy pretty well i think he got it for 500$ that being said it was an S10 with a lime green paint job
