I have a 2003 Solara covertible. first the interior light went out. then the clock and cigarette lighter went out. The fuses are fine. Car like new...what could be the cause of this?

Try testing the voltage to the clock using a multimeter. To remove the shroud surrounding the clock, HVAC, etc. pull out the cigarette pack holder and then gently pull on the shroud from bottom to top, unplugging any wires. The cigarette lighter wires are a bitch to unplug but don't be afraid to. Set that aside and then hit the clock plug with the multimeter to see if it's giving off the proper voltage.

You sure you checked ALL the fuses? The only other explanation is the wire coming from the fuse box could have came out, or a break somewhere along the (+) line leading out of the fuse box (for that circuit). Something could be unplugged as well. Get behind your kick panel and check it out. You will need a philips head and a 10mm socket to get the metal guard off under the kick panel.
