Dent repair...
Well of all things, after spending gobs of money on performance and suspension and vowing to not spend another dollar on this car, I got my first dent after 7 years of ownership. It's about the size of a baseball on the top right front fender. The hood is not affected, nor is the fender crease.
I called out a dent guy to see if he could pop it out like they do with the door dings. But, he said he couldn't.
I went to a body shop and they quoted me $450 to remove the dent, prime and paint the fender. But, they said that I might end up with the black looking different than the hood and the bumper. (The bumper is fading.) So, I backed off of that for a minute to think it over. I don't want 3 shades of black at the front right of my car, the bumper fade is already driving me crazy.
So, if anyone has been in this situation, what have you done to fix it? Should I just get the bumper fixed for $450; leave the dent alone; or keep looking for dent guys until I find one that believes they can pop it out?
How much does a good paint job cost for the whole car?
