floor mat holder

so, this has been bothering me for a while.....well, it's been in the back of my head for a while....

when i bought my ride, used, it came with solara mats and everyting....but on the drivers side, where the mat hook goes, there was none.

you know...the little peice that bolts to the floor board, and hooks into the hole in the mat to prevent the mat from sliding forward....that thing...

is anyone else missing theirs, or just me?

and does anyone know if the parts dept at the dealership would carry them? i talked to the guys at autozone, and even took them out to show them, but they were clueless.

Not sure if gen1 and gen2 are the same, but I bought new mats and the clips came with the mats. I would suppose it would be the same, so I doubt you'd get them to sell them to you without mats, but I could be wrong.

If you can find out if the clips are the same for gen1 to gen2, I have a extra pair. At least I think I do... I think I threw the little bag in the trunk

if you can email me a pic, i could probably tell just by looking....

but i'm willing to bet it's the same...i cant imagine they'd change specs on such a small part.

OK, here are the pics. Maybe someone with a Gen 1 can go out to their car and see if they are the same.

They'll fit. There just hooks that pop in. If you need a new set from the dealer, it should cost under $5 bux for the both of them.

thats weird.. when i bought my car i didnt even have floor mats
I dont even recalling seeing an area for mat hooks.. wish I had some. im tired of my floor mats moving all over the place.

jerry - i got them today ... they came in yesterday, but our mail system around the office is whack.
