Mainatainence question -
Does anyone know where the drain plug/petcock on 99
solara -V6.
I haven't found it st the corners. Do I need to take
the under side shroud off?
Just looking to drain, flush, refill.

According to the Haynes guide there are two drain plugs on the engine block. Hard to describe since the neither the picture or the instructions are very detailed.

Yes, you will need to take the front lower metal "splash" guard off with a 10mm socket. Once off, you will see ONE draincock exposed from the radiator. Typically, you probably don't need to drain the coolant from the engine block, but here is what the left (front) one looks like.

I couldn't find the right (rear) one since there wasn't enough room in there to roam around.

You will have to remove the splashguard to get better access to it.

Try to use the Toyota Red Antifreeze/Coolant if you can.
