squeaky!!!

Postby thenewguy » Tue Aug 23, 2011 11:03 pm

Im starting to hear loud squeaks coming from the front right quarter panel side. It squeaks whenever the car bounces /turns. It sounds as if there is break dust on your rotors and you're breaking to a stop. What's going wrong?

Thanks :)

Need more info. Based on what you've provided so far:

While turning:
Check your springs, make sure they're seated properly. There are rubber isolators top and bottom of the springs that can wear through. $18 each

While driving at low speed:
Sway bar bushing. $10 each, there's 2

Does it squeak when braking?

Need more info for good diagnosis. Tell me everything.

Seeing that you're in "SoCal", I can come out and make a housecall to help diagnose. Then if you need help with the repair, I can make a 2nd trip out with proper tools.

It just squeaks whenever the car is tilted in any direction.

Well no but I think its the strut rubber bearings that are worn down. Do we have a front sway bar on our cars? If so, then it might be that instead

Maybe you missed my post above, yes, check your sway bar bushings, as previously noted.
