CEL..

Postby supraguy17 » Wed Dec 22, 2010 2:06 pm

So as some of you know my CEL has been on since I have got my car but today on my way home my light suddenly went off and stayed off. I pulled into my driveway let the car run for a bit and then shut it off then started it up let it run revved it up a bit, light still stayed off. Only thing I have done recently is install my intake and I dont have my new hose that runs from top of engine to second hole in the intake (injen) yet. Would that have anything to do with it? Any I have noticed a significant change in MPG's since I have in stalled my intake, like HUGE amount, anyone else ever had this?

I would put the hose immediately. You can use the stock one. And I believe if you didn't do anything, your CEL will eventually come back.

And for your MPG, you mean a huge increase or decrease of MPG?

Well the stock one doesn't reach thats why I haven't connected it yet, but I'm planning on stopping by the store tomorrow to pick some up. Like I posted in another post, my car died a few days ago, finally got it started again and the CEL stayed off for about five days and then came back on today while putting around town. The two codes that come up are P0446 which says is Evap. Emissions control system vent circuit malfunction and the other is P1153 which says is Bank 2 Fuel control shifted lean. As for the mpg's it's been an increase. I used to be getting anywhere from 16- 18.5 and now I'm getting anywhere from 25-30.
