ticking noise while pushing gas

I have a sorta ticking noise when I press the gas hard not while cruising or idling. I dont know what it is and when I explained it to a local shop they said axle, but i got a feeling it may be the timing belt or something like that does anyone have any ideas?

Try running on premium and see if the extra octane makes a difference.

I run 93 always with mobile 1 full synthetic

I get the jingling change sound too sometimes. had it at 55,000 miles and still do.

With a helper. Rev the engine and see if you still get the same sounds. What you need to try is to determine whether it is the drive line or the engine. In my experience, CV joints show failure when a change of speed occurs or going around a corner (stressing the joint).

If it is the engine I suggest trying Seafoam and see if that makes a difference. I would also suggest another station and another brand of gas (95 octane) if possible or an octane additive (104 octane).

Trying to eliminate what they are not is sometimes easier than trying to figure out what they are.
