Won't Idle! please help

Postby sp3cialed » Sat Oct 09, 2010 2:43 am

Well as some of you know, i'm trying to sell my car. i had a guy look at it today and the car couldnt hold idle... It's only done it one other time about a month ago, but i revved it right up and it held at 800rpms. This time no matter how much i rev it, or hold the revs till engine temp is hot, it won't idle. no CEL. Gonna bring it in in the morning (this may be a fun drive...) but can anobody help in the mean time. I'm guessing the IAC after searching... thats the same thing as air bypass valve? thanks

I had that problem a few months ago. It would start and die immediately. I cleaned the IAC and I haven't had it since.
