I'm running a 1999 Toyota Solara V6 transmission (E15X? i think) on a 3SGTE in a Toyota Celica ST pushing apprx 280 hp and the shifting is a little bit rough and clunky. What kinda of fluid would you guys recommend to use. Im currently using mobil synthetic (i forgot the weight atm), anybody recommend anything in particular?

I would suggest replacing the ATM fluid. Mobil is as good a the others in my opinion. There is nothing more than can be done.

GM synchromesh has always been highly recommended for trannys that may be shifting a bit harsher than they should

Use the all synthetic Red Line MT-90. Best transmission fluid you can get. Trust me. Also all the drifters and racers here use it. Btw the transmission is a E153.

What is ATM fluid? Do you mean ATF, and if so its a 5spd manual.

I meant ATF. I think ATM is something banking related.
