Removing fron turn signal?

I know the front and rear turn signal have not been replaced on my car is a few year (02 solara sle conv), and I want to check them before the Jersey winter comes in. How do I go about removing the front turn signals? I followed the instructions in the owners manual and I could not get them out! Help! I want to pull them out to check the bulbs!

???? Can't you just turn them on to check them.... Anyways for the front corners to come out. You take out the one screw that attaches the corner to the headlight and push the corner lights away from the car. Make sure you put a rag in between the headlights and bumper to prevent scratches... I learned the hard way.

really no point in doing this until the bulb burns out, then replace it, just like you would in a lamp in your home.

the plastic is starting to fade so its hard to see through..we had wiring issues with the headlights that was fixed a few years ago. The issue caused the headlights to get hot and burn out prematurely, which as i found out today fused parts of the signal housing to the headlight housing. took me a good 45 minutes to get both corners out, thanks for the help! The bulbs haven't been replaced in years and I don't want to do it when its like 15 or so degrees out come winter. Anyone good places to get replacement turn signals? one of them is cracked and I would like to replace it.
