Hood Release Cable

Hood Release Cable

I am trying to remove the panel underneath the steering wheel. After taking out the bolts and popping it off I realized it was still connected by the hood release cable. Is there anyway to remove and reconnect the cable without messing up the car? Any advice is appreciated thank you.

i think theres 2 phillips head screws holding the hood release bracket on. remove them and unclip the cable housing from it. theres a barrell end on the cable. just move it around until you find the release slot. that should do it.
