well during the winter, yes. if fans are on car doesnt warm up as quickly which equals longer time before you get heat, more wear on engine, higher emissions, and lower gas mileage

^^ i think the thermostat would prevent that.
but i wouldnt want my car to have this issue, its more wear on the fan motors if they never get a break, and who knows when the problem is gonna get worse and the fans wont come on at all. i would double check sensors, im not sure if +12v or a ground is provided to make these fans come on, but something is creating the condition for the fans to come on. good luck finding the issue. sorry im not much help.

rechecked the 3 relays. all good and switch normally out of the car. rechecked the 2 ect switches and both read normal for a cold start. traced the issue back to a green / white wire coming from the a/c single switch. its a four pin plug by the evaporator in front of the radiator. after unplugging and plugging back in the fans now stay off, even when the coolant is up to temp. so i think it might have something to do with this switch or the ecm.

You should be able to hear/feel the relays operating.

First try silicone spray on all the visible wires and connectors. It will clean the connectors/wires and may solve the problem. It will also make the wires look new for a short time. Disconnect and re-connect all the related connectors to see if it a connection problem.

Check the ground points.

The fans will not wear out as you work through the systems.

A patience, electrical faults are not easy to troubleshoot. Try and be a systematic as possible.
