Heat/AC Temp Door?? Sensor??
Hi All-
I bought a 2000SLE early April with 0 history of any service. Back in Spring I noticed that once I set a temp on ATC display it would seem to get warm, but after about 25 minutes of driving- temp would get cooler.
Over the Summer- I would set the AC to either 65 or COLD- and after being frozen out- I'd have to increase Temp setting to like 77 just to start getting any warm air.
This morning- I set Temp to 74, and drove away. It seemed plenty warm, but wanted to test it- an sure enough after 20 to 25 minutes of driving- it seemed to be cool air with no warmth.
I know there is a test you can run by hitting 2 buttons on the ATC display- although I can't rememer what they are at this point. I did perform that check, and it seemed to be all okay. My assumption is that there is a sensor that is affecting the air temp blend door(if there is such a thing!!).
Any thoughts on where to begin?
Thank you
Chris
