Hey Guys,

Got a check engine light sunday night as I was driving home from a wedding. The car has been fine and never gave me any issues.

Got the P0420 code - Cat. Converter Malfunction
Looked it up online and they indicated it can me many problems from Collant Temp Sensor, O2 Sensor (first and 2nd Bank). I cleared the code with my scan gauge right now and the light hasn't come back on yet. But I have a feeling it might.

has anyone had issues with this before?? What did you do to fix the problem??

I have a 02 I-4 2AZ

Thanks

Kenny, if it does come back could be nothing more than the o2 sensor after the cat, i would change it and your set

Yea, Right now the light hasn't come back on since I cleared it.
But if it does I will start replacing that cheapest items first which is the O2 senors.

But that doesn't work then I will replace the Cat.
I am hoping that I don't have too.

The funny thing is my car (performance wise) is ALL stock.
I parted out ALL of my performance parts.

I am only modded Cosmetic wise and suspension.
