clutch pedal is very stiff...need help or advise

ever since i got my solara the clutch pedal has always required alot of pressure to push down.
Is there anyway to adjust the tension or the pedal so that it's a bit loose and easier to shift?

i'm dying in new york traffic with this damn clutch pedal lol

check/replace your slave and/or master cylinder- hey are basically the only things that really affect how stiff your clutch is besides for your pressure plate

The clutch on my '00 is stiff as well. I'm just replying to save this thread so I can reference it again when I get home. Thanks for the info Eye8!

pressure on mine changes... its usually soft with the friction point half way. but if i drive rough it becomes rough and the friction point is very close the fully pressed... i dont know if a flush would help... that happenned since i loosened the nut that changes the height of the clutch...
