I love my car, but is it really worth it?

I spent about $ 5,000 on fixing my 99 se v6 solara. I changed front and rear struts, I had an engine leak in the oil gasket, I messed up my both bumpers but I got them fixed. I changed the starter and breaking pads. Well, but right now I realized how lucky I am to be a car owner !

I am not leasing a car, I have my own. I just realized that I could be doing a lot of things with my car.

I want to do two things with it for now, one I want to get a tint and I want to change the grill because it's all messed up (the paint is chipping off).

So, I just would like to ask you guys, is it worth it?

If it is, any ideas what kind of tint I should get for my silver solara? What kind of grill? Where can I find the grill to purchase?

PS

Thanks for the attention, my first thread so yeah lol.

You could save yourself some money by just modding the grill. I think there's a tutorial floating around that shows how to put a cut out the grill (whilst leaving the frame and that bar that runs in the middle intact) and putting a mesh screen behind it. I've seen pics of it on some other folks' rides and it looks great imo.

Btw, go ahead and introduce yourself!

Yeah, I don't know much about how to fix/mod a car lol but I would love to learn. I don't know how to navigate around this website either lol. But thanks Mister, I will defiantly look into it.

Mesh screen does sound sexy ! (tired of that toyota sign lol)

About introducing myself.
Should I do it here or some other thread?

Tint shouldn't be much i don't think.
I got 10% tint on all 5 windows, for about $160 [got the hook up].
Also got lifetime warranty as long as i have the car.
Will be gettin' the rear re-tinted again since i noticed 2 bubbles show up.

If the chrome part of the grille is chippin' off you can power wash the chrome off as much as you can.
Then take very fine grit sand paper and sand off the rest of the chrome and paint it black.
Mine is semi sanded right now.

I had the same car for 10 years, loved every minute of driving it but after 170 miles it also needed 4k of work. I hated to give it up but listened to my wife, she likes to make sense and to buy a new Camry XLE, a fine safe car (before the recall). I still miss my Solara

That's the ticket.

It's worth it if you think it's worth it.

If its not broken then don't fix it, unless you are talking about making the car perform better.
