So here are my fogs and tails after they've been tinted. Let me know what you think guys!! Fogs yellow, Tails tint, but not quite black like others have. The guy @ Highline Customs cut out the crystal section free handed and i am STUNNED at how straight the cuts are and how accurate the curves are. Flawless work. 50$ well spent in my opinion. Please provide feedback, love to hear what you all think :P

NOTE: The guy who tinted my tails, placed tint on the entire taillight, and cut out the crystal signal/reverse section BY HAND! You wouldn't beleive that if you could see how straight and accurate all the lines are! Highline Customs! Great work.

I think for $50 you can tint your own tails, still have money to take apart and paint your own headlights and have money left over for a pizza and beers while you do it.

Sounds like a decent idea. I just opened my headlights and painted the rings black, then Nite Shades-ed the turns and tails. All things considered it cost about $25. Of course that is with me doing the work, no warrantee. Also the tinting is paint, so it is non-reversable. I say go for it. Post up pics when you get it done. :sweet:
Trust me, I'm a technician.

I tinted my signal lamps on my truck. I wouldn't tint my headlights though. That is just me though. Tinted taillights looks nice. On a solara i would tint my tails only if i had a factory spoiler with the brake light for safety reasons.

That too. 15% decrease from halogen lights is bad.

well I was thinking of doing the tint on the heads, only after I get an HID kit. Prolly will go wit 6000k. I just want to get that slightly darker look to the headlights (similar to the look of black housing heads) without actually hittin the check book for $250 for black housed head light replacements. I can get pretty much the identical look wit the slight tint, for a fraction of the cost.

I don't know where you live but if you live in Los Angeles, I wouldn't tint it cuz I got pulled over, alot of my friends got pulled over, and I've seen many people getting pulled over by the CHP.

Naw, i live in portland. lol, i don't like the amber lights for signals, so i have my turns in the tails switched to white bulbs, had cops behind me in turn lanes all the time, and they don't care. Plenty of people round town w/ the tinted tails w/ even the clear section tinted. I of course will be leaving the clear section on my tails as is, and only having the red area tinted. LA must not be so good for VIP mods to ur car from what i hear lol

I dont know about tinting the headlight lens... Why dont you just crack open the stock headlights and spray some flat black on the headlight shroud?

You keep stock output and get the look of the aftermarket black housing all for around $6.

Don't tint exterior lights, ever. Unsafe for you, unsafe for those around you.
