I have a 99 solara. I cant get it started the engine turns but does not start. the car has 70,000 miles on it. have not changed the timing belt could that be it? or maybe the key? but i do have the original. ps. the fule pump does not come on untill you start turning the engine is this usual ?

Welcome to SolaraGuy.

Three things are needed for the engine to run.
Fuel
Spark
Air

The problem has to be one of those three. I doubt that the problem is the timimg belt.
Check that you are getting spark, then check to see if you are getting fuel to the engine.
