Keyless Remote Question

Postby BLACK V6 » Sun Aug 02, 2009 2:35 pm

^I guess you already bought so it woudn't matter now but when I first got a remote for my car it was one like the one you just bought. What I didn't know was that I had the RS3000 Security (factory option) I had to get a different remote and use a different procedure. Make sure you don't have the RS3000...

Here, see if this helps. If you have the sensor at the bottom you probably have the rs3000. In which case you probably need a different remote.

Bump? I've confirmed that my car didn't come with any type of security or alarm. What else could I be missing?

From the eBay ad I was under the impression that a remote would work on any car that came from the factory with power door locks.....
