something is leaking on front side passenger side

I noticed in my garage there is a leak on the front passenger side under my car. It is located on the left frame area just behind the transmission area and infront of the boot. The oil is a light black color and leaks very little. All fluid levels when checked are good. There is no warning on my dash about this.

The entire frame from the wheel area looks oiled. Could it be a bad boot? The only thing I do notice is that the car doesn't absorb shocks when I go over a speed bump. Could the boot leak this kind of oil. I'll try to take a picture and post it.

P.S. What side does the AC drip water on? Could it possible be water dripping onto the dirty frame?

Strut could be blown/leaking.

My JIC coilovers did the same thing when they were one their way out.

CV boot leak would lead to grease all over the inside of the wheel.

A/C condensation would be water comming from the passenger side.

My car has a definite power steering leak, sounds like the same thing you're describing. Very thin darkish fluid, sprayed all over the frame and CV boot. It'd been leaking for about a year and still hasn't lost enough to need a top off. Keep an eye on your ps fluid level. Good luck.
Trust me, I'm a technician.
