^yeah dude you dont need that, you can take it right off. Theres two small bolts you unscrew and when you pop the hood underneath the fuse box there a small vent that does a 90 degree curve. you can take that off as well do to that you will have to remove the fuse box from the 2 10mm bolts and then move the battery so you can make it easier for yourself.

shouldnt take more thatn 15min. I wouldnt be worried if its broken man, you dont even need it, and if you like loud noise coming from the bay than take it off. :)
