Help-Emmissions?

I have a problem that needs some input. My 99 v6 shuts off randomly especially at stoplights. This almost always happens when it hot outside. Whats confusing is that its not throwing any codes, and for ovious reasons I cannot run around changing stuff just yet.
A rundown of what i chaged or checked so far:
changed bank 1 sensor 1 resulting from code p1135 being thrown
throttle body cleaned, and tps checks ok
alternator voltage ok, with no peaks. recently changed spark plugs, but that hasnt shown any issues.
Idle is 'somewhat' normal (900rpm) at the stop.
smells a little rich when it shuts off hence the reason for a suspected emissions problem. Any ideas??

Mine did this when the battery was on the way out. Also a quick thing to check is the battery ground connection.

Any sputtering? I had my fuel pump on my Jeep spontaneously go on and off.

same thing hapened to me, checked everything, even replaced battery, turned out it was a ground problem, so i went to autozone and found one similar to this: Image It had two 4 and two 8 gauges inputs, so i ran multiple grounding wires to the engine block, tranny, and fender, it really made a difference aside from the fact that it corrected my problem. My lights dont dim anymore when my subs hit, (700 watt amp, 2 Jenson XRS 12's) and the car starts about a second faster.

^^Dmoney, As a matter of fact, i got a new maf about 1.5 years ago, but i didn't know you could clean it...
Am now looking to get a new battery and terminals while am at it, because i am running a little 10'' with i believe a 500w amp.

And it is not sputtering at all, just lags a little between the stop-starts at the lights, in addition to the faint smell of gas

ps: sorry if my letters are somewhat skewed. Google chrome and SG do not go very well together, oddly.

Resurrecting this thread. Car still shuts off, i guess since the heat's started.
I have since replaced my battery, and terminals.
Has a brand new oxygen and maf sensor and as a precaution did a backprobe voltage check on the IAC valves and other throttle body components and they all check fine.. It doesn't even throw a code!
The car still stalls at the light on a hot day. Is there something am missing?

Might be slightly different, but same basic engine, in my RX300, also a 1MZFE V6, the IACV valve can get dirty. and has to be cleaned.

It would be interesting to know what your RPMs are in Drive (when stopped) along with RPMs at park.

Have you run any injector cleaners into the system?

When I lived in Mexico City (6 long years), I had issues with the gasoline and would occasionally have issues at the light and use to run stuff like Redline's Fuel System Cleaner, Chevron Techron, among other things.

I looked at the rpms and apart from at a stop (where it sometimes dips below 5000). Cleaned the IAC valve when i was testing the voltage, and have used fuel system cleaner.
I will recheck the rpms though coz i mightn't have re-gapped correctly

its the idler thingy below the throttle body, it gets dirty, u clean it and wah la no more idle issues, my black solara was doing the same exact thing, theres a little balck cover over it with 3 phillips head screws holding it on, take them out, pull it off and clean it with some carb cleaner then spray with w-d 40, and put back together, that should solve the problem..................... :drinking:

This is one that a guy did on his RX300, http://clublexus.com/forums/rx-first-ge ... te-up.html

Only difference here is that we have a double throttle body, but similar IACV valve.
