Hey, I have a stock 2000 Toyota Solara SL V6 coupe. What would you guys do to it first. I have a very limited budget so i was thinking along with something like changing the stock speakers and dashboard. And my car has a problem with the oil valves where sometimes the valves leak oil and smokes outside the exhaust for a minute. Is this a common problem with solaras? or does my car just suck...ha thanks

get those valves fixed first

then get a rear sway bar. cheapest performance mod ever. its like 100 somewhat dollars for greatly improved handling.

^^I agree, get those valves fixed.

Next, I suggest doing a SeaFoam application.
Then, change your oil, plugs, and wires.
Another cheap fix would be cleaning out your throtle body.

As for mods, the best bang for your buck is a TRD RSB.
Then get ya an intake, CP-E if ya got tha money.

I got a 2000 Toyota Solara SLE V6 coupe just last month. Got the throttle body cleaned, seafoam, spark plugs and oil changed, transmission flush, and minor maintenance to bring the engine alive cuz the previous owners never did anything. Just today I got the TRD rear sway bar installed. Pretty good so far. But definitely for you get the valves check cuz that sounds like it's gonna damage your engine. If you don't have a working engine, there is no point to mod a non-running car, lol
