o2 Sensors for 1999 v6 Solara

I have a quick question -

Are all the o2 sensors the same in the 1999 v6 Solara or are they all different, therefore you have to buy different types of o2 sensors for each area of the vehicle?

You say you have a V6, which has three sensors. One in each manifold, and one after the cat. I'm pretty sure the two in the manifolds are the same (someone confirm that) and the the one after the cat is different. If your using a good OBD II reader it should tell you exzactly which one.

i think it depends on if you're cali spec of federal spec.

cali spec uses three different types, if i'm not mistaken, and i believe that the fed spec uses two diff types. like i said, i may be mistaken, so double check by searching for the parts. i know that fed spec uses actual oxygen sensors, while cali spec uses some other special (read: more expensive) type of sensor.

both still have a total of 3 sensors though. one in each exhaust manifold, and then one after the cat.

you should be able to figure out if you're fed/cali spec by popping the hood, and then checking the engine information tag. it'll say engine type, emission spec's, and all that good stuff.
