Brake pads...what brand?

Sorry, I have to disagree. Or perhaps my idea of little to no dust is different. The OEM pads and the Akebono ProAct pads (OEM from what I've read) produced quite a bit of dust for me. Of course, it could just be that I don't wash my car very often. 8) They are definitely quiet though.

axxis organic brake pads.

little/no brake dust (which was a HUGE diff compared to my OEM and my autozone pads)

squeal a little when breaking in, but after that, not a sound until they need replacing.

and pad longevity is amazing. i drive my lara like i stole it, and these pads have lasted over 3x longer than the autozone (duralast) semi-metallic pads. they're still on my ride, and the stopping power is great still.

downside is that they're a little bit more expensive. but i'm a firm believer of paying a little bit more for necessary items that need maintenance/replacements (tires, brakes, oil). i believe i paid around 80 or 90 for the front set at autozone. and also they had to order them.

still well worth it, if you ask me.

It seems like all you guys want everything from a single brake pad, as though they are miracle devices. For brake pads, you can't have everything. Dust is a by-product of the material being shed away. It means your brakes are working. I remember seeing BMW's with stock brakes that get a lot of brake dust on their wheels, but that's also because they are meant to stop their vehicles quick. You can clean brake dust off with water, what's the big deal?

As for noise, I agree with the anti-seize, or any other lubricant of your choice.
