Can you add the ABS,TRAC system on the solara, if so how? reason why i want to do this is because i was hydro planing in the highway today and i lost control of the solara and lucky me nothing happen i just slid across the highway....scary stuff... just for the record i wasn't speeding

Probably, but I'm sure it'd be too expensive and/or difficult to wire up.

I'm wondering why Toyota didn't put a trac,abs system on the solara..only the V6 solara..

I think traction control was only available on the SLE V6. My SE V6 doesn't have traction control, just ABS.

i wonder.....if i end up scrapping my auto and do a manual swap, would this be a part that is sellable, since i have a SLE with the abs AND trac? i figure it's probably integrated into the ECU, but i'm gonna swap that out if i go manual.

thoughts anyone?

also gives a little bit more incentive to find a decomissioned SLE in a scrap yard.
