water in fog lamp

water in fog lamp

Postby talaznfoo » Mon Jul 14, 2008 10:34 am

I washed my car (gen 1) a few weeks ago, and somehow water filled up my passenger foglight lamp, there's no crack on the lamp. I was hoping it would just dry up somehow, but it's still there. this never happened to me before. does anyone know what might be causing this and how can i fix this? Also, how do i take off the fog lamp housing?

Thanks for your help

you are going to have to take the whole fog light assem apart. Mine had a crack in the top so every time i washed my car or car wash the fog light assem would fill up with water.

I took mine apart and cleaned up the water rust in all, painted it and sealed it back up with clear silicon. been good ever since :D hope this helps
