proud to be a solaraguy

Gotta have love for this place. Within the ~2 months I've been around, I've been able to put in NGK's, an RSB, and a Gen 1.5 lip kit on a Gen1 on my own, with help from your guy's threads. This car's my pride and joy and something from each paycheck always goes to her for "mile support." Oh, and I love seeing that tiny star above my avatar. It feels bad ass to be an actual regular solaraguy now. :sweet:

Nope, I'm still here!

^^hahah, nice....and for a second i thought your avatar said 'home of the idiots,' too..... lol

i have to admit, the quality of DIY's we have is pretty good. when i first joined sg, the first thing i did was go through all the tutorials to see what had been figured out.

i suspect it's because there's very little tolerance for stupid questions; and an open flaming policy to anyone who violates that little thing we call common sense.

gotta love it.

It's all about the tough love...for the year or so I've been here, I've counted about 4 people that never came back after about 3 post counts lol.

It's harsh, but it's a way to keep the "gene pool" clean here...

I have to agree, I am sure barely any one on this forum knows me, but I honestly feel like I know many of you. I was on this site everyday for a month before I joined; reading tutorials, aftermarket upgrades, and everything that made me become attached like I am now. Everyone seems to do their part, so many here are so suave with what they do and I really appreciate everyones input. Thats what makes a good forum. Because of this site I have a molly lip kit, plans for many more upgrades, basic knowledge of the Solara, and confidence to work on my car myself. Thanks to everyone, and 'I'm proud to be a Solara guy.'

straight up when I bought my solara I saw zero moding potential and really hadn't planned on doing any mods at all. Typically (at least here in ohio) I see hundreds of solaras and all the people driving them are either middle aged women or old people.... but this site has shown me that this car can look sick as hell and has moding potential for sure! Plus I like moding cars that typically wouldn't be (aka making something outta nothing). So rock on solara guys!

I love it here. Trust me honestly, I've dealt with more crap from the people here than anyone else has.

BUT..

I love it here. You guys are flippin idioticsmartassholesthatknowhowtocrackjokesandmakeevenpeoplelikemelearnathingortwoonceinawhileandnotjustaboutmycareither.

yeah that.

But sometimes it does get a little "wtf"
But so does life so, hell go with it.

I met great people on here that I wouldn't trade for anything else, learned quite a lot too about myself and my car, it's a place that I feel is more than just a forum but almost like a large functionally dysfunctional family :)

When I first got my car I saw Gabes car, Reggie's, and Dats car, they were my inspiration, But to each their own, from their builds and what they did it made me go from my ricerish stage to where now I believe in just the past 2 years that I have owned my car in stock form to now where it's definitely unique.. I believe it's hard work that pays off..

Lot of trial and error, but hey I love it. no pain no gain.

Plus being only just newly 21 and paying for everything myself, I figure it's quite an accomplishment..

Anywhoo I'm damn proud to be a solaraguy. Always will be. I represent hardcorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre.
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.
