Does anyone know how to remove the amber film from the stock taillights. I want my taillights to appear as shown in the below link. I need some instructions on how to do this mod.

I saw on SG that it's pretty hard (impossible) to open the taillights in 2 pieces without destoy them..that's why I didn't try a LED taillight conversion, I want to be able to put back my gen taillights when I will resell the car, my dark altezza will not be appreciate from older people than me.

I've always wanted to make that mod but because the lights are put together like the corners, usually they break. I bought an extra set that I'm going to experiment with. If my methods work, I will take pictures and show you how I did it. For right now, I think I'm going to grab a sharp razor blade and simply start cutting. I will glue them back afterwards.

ANY BETTER IDEAS?

So I got this project jump started once and for all. The clear cover is off with a minor crack which truly could've been avoided if I didn't rush. I'm going to take pictures when I open up the other tail light. If you want to try this now, I recommend to start prying open the tail lights where there are wider gaps. The hardest area to pry open is the black portion, the rest is easy!
