These lights usually come with 3 wires. The red wire to a 12V source (I connected mine straight to the positive terminal on the battery). The next one, usually a black wire, is grounded to a metal source. And the last wire, usally yellow, to the radio fuse behind the change holder. I installed one of these a couple of months ago because the LED light that came with my aftermarket security system stopped working. Let me know if you need anymore help.
