Some problems I'm having with my Solara

well to start off I love this car, I went from an 04 grand cherokee Special edition to this solara and I love it. I picked up the car used about 4 months ago, it had about 96k on it, now about 98k on it. The most I've ever done by myself was change the lights on this solara and in a car in general. I'm not really a car guy, but I really want to learn :)

The problems I'm having (if you can give some suggestions)

- The steering wheel squeaks when I make turns (just started happening, winter in Buffalo..)

- My right door creeks when I open it now

- My right window makes a really annoying high pitched squeak when I pull it down

thats all I can think of now, I already have another thread because I'm installing a sound system, since this doesn't really apply to that thread.

The car is in perfect physical condition, the leather is still perfect. The suspension is awesome, everything pretty much works as it should except for these minor (but annoying) problems. I get complements for this car every day hehe, I'm lovin' it

PS: its a 2002 Solara SLE v6 3.0 (I think its 3.0) automatic , silver (I read thats cursed lol)

those all sound like cold-induced problems... not that it needed to be said. (winter in buffalo). but just try cleaning/wd-40 the door hinge, as for the window, the rubber seal might have just shrunk a lil due to the cold (?) tighter on the window, hence the noise, just a guess - as for the steering wheel, there was a thread on somethin like that not too long ago.. try searching for it, if the search function works

my girls' maxima windows always squeaked, so i just tried putting some silicone spray down both sides of the window in between the rubber seal...no more squeak. you can use the silicone spray for your door hinges too if you don't have wd-40

^^^^^^I just live north of you and I have had all the same problems. Steering wheel try topping off your power steering fluid. For the door all I had to do was re grease the hinge. For the window I had to get a new insert because the rubber or plastic piece had dried out and cracked. Got the new piece from Toyota for around 40 bucks.
