Clutch Pedal Picture Request...

Clutch Pedal Picture Request...

Postby CamryOnBronze » Thu Sep 13, 2007 4:10 pm

Okay, so ever since I bought my solara the clutch pedal has mad a spring noise- like a metal spring being compressed and stretched. It was annoying, but never bothered me enough to do anything about it.

I was just driving earlier and heard the noise, then a snap and felt something hit my leg. It turned out to be this spring laying on my floor broken:

You can see in the pictures where the end of it (the bend) snapped in half. The thing is, the car strill drives fine and I can feel the clutch engage- the pedal just has a much softer feel. Anyway, I bought a new spring at autozone, but I cant figure out where it connects.

Can someone post a pic of their clutch pedal assembly for me up under the dash so I can see where this spring goes? It would help me a lot, thanks in advance!

I will post a pic tomorrow night if that helps. I was just working in that area las week running my amp kit, and don't remember any springs that look like that.

Yeah I didn't see anything that looked like that. The brake has a spring as you can see. The 2azfe has drive by wire so no springs. I don't think the clutch would be different for a V6?

Here are pics though, maybe they can help you out.
