Not really, all you need to do is pop the cover near the gear select on auto's, unplug the power outlet, and then pry off the middle plastic cover, and then unplug the clock, and hazards, and the cigarette plug, and then just tug on the HVAC knobs all 3 of them, and then you will see 2 screws, and just unscrew those, and there you go the bulbs are exposed.
I might have missed some things on explainin' stuff [it's been long since i've done it]
Also it may seem like alot of steps to do, but i've done it so many times, it's so easy to do now.

i WOULD say its easy... but i end up breaking things...
MINOR... but still.. i broke the lil knob where u slide left and right to adjust the air coming into or out of the car..... i broke one of the clips holding onto the A/C button.... However, everything is covered up once u pop the center console back on....
only i know the flaws =]
But i still say its easy gettin to those lights.... have fun =]

It depends which one you have. On mine it has three knobs and three buttons. All you have to do is pull the knobs off, and you will see two screws. Then its just the four screws around the thing that hold it to the dash.
I don't know what the other ones are like.
